Learning How To Fail (40/52)

Fitness is at the center of what we do.
To Tilla Fit, fitness isn’t optional.
It’s something that every person needs.
And this isn’t a plug for Tilla Fit, because we aren’t for everyone.
Regardless if you workout with us, or at any other gym in the area, we want you working out.
This is our effort to show the community why fitness is a priority.

Here is reason number 40 of 52 for why we need fitness, and what it means to us.

“Learn How to Fail”

Yesterday was heavy back squat day.

Some people hit personal records.
Some people got pinned at the bottom.

And honestly, both won.

In the gym, with coaches beside you, failure is safe.

It is controlled.
It is productive.

You step under a weight that might beat you.
You test your limits.

Sometimes you stand it up.
Sometimes you bail.

But every time, you learn.

You learn how to stay calm when things get heavy.
You learn how to fight for one more inch.
You learn how to reset instead of quit.

Most people avoid failure in life.
They avoid discomfort.
They avoid testing.

But adversity is coming whether you train for it or not.

The gym is one of the only places you can practice it on purpose.

Yesterday, we watched people miss lifts.

They laughed.
They reset.
They tried again.

That is strength.

Not just physical strength.
Emotional strength.
Mental toughness.

Learn how to fail in a controlled environment.

Because when life gets heavy, you will not panic.

You will brace.
Drive your feet into the ground.
And stand back up.
