Fitness is at the center of what we do.
To Tilla Fit, fitness isn’t optional.
It’s something that every person needs.
Over the past year, we shared 52 reasons WHY people need fitness.
Now we shift to the next question.
HOW do you start?
HOW do you stay consistent?
HOW do you build a lifestyle that lasts?
HOW do you get results?
Over the next 52 weeks, we’ll answer those questions.
Here is week 2 of 52 on HOW to approach fitness.
“Keep It Simple / How To Start”
One of the biggest mistakes people make when starting a fitness journey is overcomplicating it.
The truth is, there are several paths that can lead to success. The best one is the one you’ll actually stick with.
Here are three great options.
Option #1: Start at Home
Working out from home is one of the most affordable and convenient ways to begin.
The challenge is accountability.
Nobody is waiting for you. Nobody notices if you skip a workout. You also need to spend time researching workouts, learning movements, and making sure you’re performing them correctly.
The upside is that it can be incredibly effective.
A dedicated space in your home, a workout on your calendar three days per week, and support from your family can go a long way. You do not need a garage full of equipment to get started.
Start simple and build over time.
Option #2: Join an Open Access Gym
Places like CF Fitness, Planet Fitness, Mammoth Fitness, and similar facilities provide access to a huge variety of equipment.
You will have everything you need to get stronger, improve your fitness, and create a solid routine.
The challenge is that you become your own coach.
You need to create your own workouts, hold yourself accountable, and push yourself with enough intensity to see results.
The upside is flexibility.
You can train when it fits your schedule and have access to far more equipment than most home gyms could provide.
Option #3: Hire a Coach
Whether it’s personal training or group fitness, hiring a coach removes many of the obstacles that stop people from succeeding.
Your workouts are already planned.
Someone is helping guide your movement.
You have accountability.
And perhaps most importantly, you become part of a community.
The downside is that coaching often comes with a higher price tag and scheduled class times.
The upside is that you are putting yourself in an environment specifically designed to help you succeed.
For many people, that extra support makes all the difference.
The Bottom Line
There is no perfect way to start fitness.
Home workouts work.
Open access gyms work.
Coaching works.
The best plan is the one you can do consistently.
Pick a path.
Commit to it.
And remember that showing up consistently will always matter more than finding the perfect program.
This Week’s Action Step:
Choose one of these three paths and commit to it for the next 30 days.
Not forever.
Just 30 days.
Make the decision, put it on your calendar, and start building momentum.
Next week we’ll teach you exactly what your workouts should look like for each option!
