Resilience

Fitness is at the center of what we do.

To Tilla Fit, fitness isn’t optional.

It’s something that every person needs.

And this isn’t a plug for Tilla Fit, because we aren’t for everyone.

Regardless if you workout with us, or at any other gym in the area, we want you working out.

This is our effort to show the community why fitness is a priority.

Here is reason number 27 of 52 for why we need fitness, and what it means to us!

“Resilience in Real Life”

Back in Week 1, we talked about how fitness teaches resilience, how the grind of a tough workout trains your mind to stay strong when things get hard. This week, and every week moving forward, we want to show how the benefits of fitness impact our us with real life examples.

When we started Tilla Fit, there wasn’t a building, there wasn’t a trailer, and there were no members. We started in a park, loading and unloading dumbbells, kettlebells, and plates out of the back of a truck every day. We trained in the heat, the rain, and the FREEZING cold, whatever the day threw at us.

Sure, start-ups deal with problems and face roadblocks, but it felt like we dealt with all of them.

Over time, we moved from one spot to another, each step a little closer to what we envisioned.

Then came the perfect space, and just enough courage. We laid floors, painted walls (and the ceiling), cleaned everything, and put together all the equipment. There were moments it felt impossible.

But that’s where our fitness shows up outside the gym. It had already taught us to keep going when it got tough, to breathe through the discomfort, and to take one rep, one step, one day at a time.

We never thought taking our fitness as series as we did would ever be used for something outside of competition, but it turns out, all those years of training prepared us for this.

So when you train, remember: every tough workout is practice for real life. The strength you build in the gym becomes the strength that carries you through everything else.
